Storytelling & Lived Experience

Skiza

Human Library Project

Skiza is an innovative and impactful event that brings together diverse voices and experiences in a safe, open, and enriching environment. Much like a traditional library where you borrow books, Skiza offers a unique opportunity to “borrow” people — individuals who share their personal stories, experiences, and insights.

The programme fosters understanding, promotes empathy, and challenges societal prejudices by offering a platform for real, human connections.

“For your story, might save another.”

Our Purpose

Why Skiza?

In a world that is becoming increasingly connected yet divided, it's important to understand one another and embrace diversity. Skiza is designed to bridge gaps in communication and challenge the biases that often lead to misunderstanding — offering an opportunity to connect on a deeper level, hear stories that might otherwise go untold, and celebrate the richness of human experiences.

The Core Experience

The Human Library

The heart of Skiza lies in its Human Library. Participants have the opportunity to “borrow” a Human Book for a 15–20-minute one-on-one or small group conversation. Each Human Book offers a unique perspective through their life story.

These conversations are open, honest, and judgment-free — allowing for genuine vulnerability and connection between strangers who might never otherwise have met.
